This role is within our Client Accounting Services (CAS) department which is responsible for the accounting functions of our external clients. Successful CAS Managers are flexible and function well in a fast-paced environment and have clear communication with both clients and staff. This role includes oversight of our client’s monthly close cycles; including training, reviewing and supporting other CAS team members.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding of new clients and acting as their main point of contact
- Collaborating with client accounting services management team with implementation of processes, structure, and oversight of department
- Overseeing, delegating, and review work performed related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions
- Reviews monthly closeout, subsequent financial statements and supporting documents as prepared by other members of the client accounting services department for accuracy and completeness.
- administrative support functions, as business necessitates and upper management requests
- Establish ad hoc financial projects and reports, create client budgets and forecasting, and attends client board meetings as needed

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five to seven years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation and/or Master’s Degree preferred.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and organized Accounting Support Specialist to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. CAS provides outsourced accounting functions for our external clients, and this role is a key part of ensuring their financial operations run smoothly. You’ll have a direct impact by handling payroll, processing day-to-day accounting activity, and supporting month- and year-end close.
Responsibilities
- Process and record daily financial transactions in line with client agreements.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and research discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute standard financial reports for client review.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Communicate with clients daily, answering questions and providing resolutions.
- Collaborate with CAS team members to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Process recurring client payroll (biweekly/semimonthly): review timekeeping, enter changes (new hires, terms, pay rate updates, garnishments), transmit payroll, and confirm funding.
- Respond to client and employee payroll inquiries, ensuring compliance with wage-and-hour rules.
- Assist with month- and year-end closing activities.
- Take on special projects and ad hoc accounting support as assigned.

Qualifications
- Hands-on payroll processing experience
- 2+ years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (preferred)
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures consistently
- Client service experience preferred

- May assist managers with training and teaching in the department
- Prepare multiple entity type tax returns efficiently
- Shares and transfers knowledge within the team
- Communication with partners, managers, and clients throughout the engagement process
- Cross train to review and manage tax work and relationships
- Run tax projections to help advise clients
- Delegate your tax work as appropriate
- Provide proactive approach to advisory tax services, less focus on the once-a-year tax return client
- Develop and help clients deploy annual tax strategies
