Responsibilities
- Manage client-facing relationships, tax services to the client, and client expectations
- Participate in tax department and company-wide leadership
- Leadership role in assisting with training and teaching in the department
- Review of staff completed tax work
- Delegate your tax work and control of the relationship / process
- Provide proactive approach to advisory tax services, less focus on the once-a-year tax return client
- Develop and help clients deploy annual tax strategies

Qualifications
- CPA certification desired

- Public accounting experience
- Experience with CCH Pro fx Suite software or equivalent
- Related Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to lead and develop a team

- May assist managers with training and teaching in the department
- Prepare multiple entity type tax returns efficiently
- Shares and transfers knowledge within the team
- Communication with partners, managers, and clients throughout the engagement process
- Cross train to review and manage tax work and relationships
- Run tax projections to help advise clients
- Delegate your tax work as appropriate
- Provide proactive approach to advisory tax services, less focus on the once-a-year tax return client
- Develop and help clients deploy annual tax strategies

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Manage multiple clients and deadlines (both preparing or reviewing other staff’s work)
- Maintaining a general ledger
- Preparing financial statements, producing accounting reports and checking them for accuracy
- Managing external audit processes
- Resolving financial problems, analyzing profit loss, assisting with cash flow and debt covenant analysis
- Ability to effectively delegate
- Assist clients with various financial questions
- Assist other staff with various accounting tasks

Qualifications
- Must have a high technical accounting skill set
- High level of comfort using technology and multiple applications and monitors concurrently
- Previous experience with Accrual Accounting required
- Previous experience with Payroll and/or Grants is desired
- Experience with QuickBooks
- High skill level using Microsoft Products, especially Excel
- Knowledgeable on PDF software
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable with client interaction through emails, phone calls and meetings (both in person and virtual)
- Ability to adapt as priorities shift
- Organized in a fast-paced environment
- Works well in a team environment
- Receptive to coaching and constructive criticism also an eagerness to learn
- Ability to maintain professionalism when having difficult client conversations
