RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage client-facing relationships, tax services to the client, and client expectations
  • Participate in tax department and company-wide leadership
  • Leadership role in assisting with training and teaching in the department
  • Review of staff completed tax work
  • Delegate your tax work and control of the relationship / process
  • Provide proactive approach to advisory tax services, less focus on the once-a-year tax return client
  • Develop and help clients deploy annual tax strategies

  • 5+ years public accounting experience
  • Experience with CCH Pro fx Suite software or equivalent

Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record bank and credit card transactions
  • Reconcile the bank and credit card accounts
  • Accounts payable management
  • Assist clients with various financial questions
  • Assist other staff with various accounting tasks
  • Payroll reconciliation
  • Posting journal entries
  • Reconcile the general ledger accounts monthly
  • Financial reporting

  • Accounting Degree preferred
  • Previous experience with Accrual Accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks

Accounts Payable (AP)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
  • Reviews accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar identifying data, and confirms correct accounting codes were used.
  • Enters vendor information into accounting software system; verifies that invoice information is entered correctly.
  • Issues payments to vendors as approved.
  • Processes routine monthly payments as approved.
  • Answers vendor questions by researching accounts.
  • Ad hoc accounting support requests as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software

Payroll Clerk

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the payroll process for our clients
  • Verify accuracy and reconcile regarding payroll data
  • Assist with payroll questions from clients
  • Manage the payroll email inbox which is where all communication regarding the position flows
  • Calculate final pay for terminated client staff
  • Calculate late start pay for new hires that begin after fiscal year
  • Manage benefits withholdings for client staff
  • Perform reconciliations of our client’s health benefits withholdings using excel (will test excel skills)
  • Pay benefits bill and make retirement submissions on behalf of our clients
